"drafthorse" Wants Stories About Work and/or No-Work
Writers, if you have some good "work stories" sitting around here is a market for you. drafthorse is a literary journal about work and non work.
The editorial mission states, "drafthorse is a biannual online publication of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, visual narrative, and other media art where work, occupation, labor ~~ or lack of the same ~~ is published.
"drafthorse welcomes unsolicited literary manuscripts and visual art. Work submitted in February, March and April will be considered for the summer issue. Work submitted in August, September and October will be considered for the winter issue.
"Our constant theme is 'work and no work.'"Submission guidelines detail what the editor of drafthorse is looking for. For examples, double click on the text beside the picture to read a complete story. In Non-fiction category, "Coal," by Paul Pekin is a good read.
